If you own Value City furniture, keep your paperwork; warranty support after a liquidation is limited, so check the terms you were given at purchase.

- Buy where you can get service. A store you can drive to makes returns and warranty claims far easier.
- Check who stands behind the warranty. The Value City closures showed that a warranty is only as good as the company behind it.
- Compare delivery terms, not only price. Online orders from out-of-state brands can carry large delivery fees.
